The business was founded by local Damien Viero who grew up in Ayr – a small country town south of Townsville.
Damien created Above&Beyond when he was 16 and continued on to finish his Bachelors Degree in Information Technology at James Cook University Townsville campus.
At 17, he redesigned the Burdekin Shire Council web site and attended the Burdekin Tourism working group meetings, designed, developed and trained the relevant Burdekin Tourism staff on how to update their web site.

Recently his work on the Cairns Reef Hotel Casino web site won 1st place at the Queensland Multi-Media Awards in October 2008.
Damien has over 10 years experience working with web sites and has managed over 100 different projects.
Much like Seinfeld’s George Costanza, David dreamt of becoming an Architect, and one day he will but in the mean time he writes some mean code.
Coming off his University research in Artifical Intelligence, Data Mining and Recommendation Engines he has worked on Hollywood feature films in the visual effects industry as well as developed large scale social networks on the web.
With experience in Desktop, Web and Mobile software development using a multitude of technologies, David is ready to step up to any challenge big or small, he also makes a mean omelet!
With a bright smile and a warm heart, Kristen is our enthusiastic head of sales and part-time copywriter.
Joining the team in 2006, Kristen started as an administrative assistant and soon found her niche in Sales and Marketing. Within 2 years, she has doubled our client base.
She is constantly promoting Above&Beyond in other cities and regions to improve our brand awareness.
Kristen has a diverse range of writing styles and a proven track record of significantly increasing sales through her innovative techniques.
